In order for writers to realize their full potential and create the stories that will change the world, they need community and support.
Our year-long immersive Fellowship program allows emerging playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists to develop their current work and craft, through one-on-one mentorship with esteemed professionals in their field.
Our no-cost rehearsal spaces for dramatists located in our midtown Manhattan office provide dramatists with free room to write, meet, rehearse, and collaborate.
Since 2020, DGF has given more than $4.5 million directly to writers.
Emergency Grants provide financial support to dramatists in such severe times of need as natural disasters, illnesses, and other unexpected crises.
Bridge Grants support dramatists who need financial assistance for essential daily life expenses.
Housing Assistance Grants provide financial help for housing expenses to dramatists, created to prevent evictions and displacement of dramatic writers during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
