Writing Rooms

Free space for dramatists to write, collaborate, and create located in midtown Manhattan, New York City!


There are 3 different spaces available for dramatists to use for free:

  • Music Hall
  • Composers Corner
  • Writers Den

 

Music Hall

Room capacity: 42

Room size: 35′ 6″ x 18′ 6″

Space Includes:

  • Steinway Baby Grand Piano
  • Banquette (along the wall for seating)
  • Work Table (6′ x 3′ )
  • Coffee Table
  • Sofa
  • 6 Side Chairs
  • 2 Leather Chairs
  • HEPA Air Purifier

The Music Hall can be used for:

  • Readings
  • Presentations
  • Large rehearsals
  • Large meetings

Please note, our spaces may not be used for auditions/callbacks.

Please note, for the safety of all and the preservation of the floors, dancing is not allowed in the rehearsal spaces.

Composers Corner

Room capacity: 12

Room size: 15′ x 14′ 6″

Space Includes:

  • Yamaha CLP-785 Digital Piano
  • Round Table (30″)
  • Sofa
  • 2 Side Chairs
  • Magnetic Whiteboard
  • HEPA Air Purifier

The Composers Corner can be used for:

  • Rehearsals
  • Meetings
  • Solo, team, or group writing

Please note, our spaces may not be used for auditions/callbacks.

Room size: 10′ 6″ x 10′ 6″

Space Includes:

  • Yamaha MODUS F01 Digital Piano
  • Desk (4′ 6″ x 2′)
  • Rolling Chair
  • Leather Chair
  • Magnetic Whiteboard
  • HEPA Air Purifier

The Writers Den can be used for:

  • Rehearsals
  • Meetings
  • Solo, team, or group writing
