Andrew Lippa

President

Andrew Lippa wrote and composed the theatrical oratorio I Am Harvey Milk that received its New York premiere at Lincoln Center starring Kristin Chenoweth and Mr. Lippa as Harvey Milk. Life of the Party, an evening celebrating 20 years of his work, premiered at London’s award-winning Menier Chocolate Factory in 2014. He also wrote the Drama Desk-nominated music and lyrics for the Broadway musical Big Fish, the Tony-nominated music and lyrics for the Broadway musical The Addams Family (performed in over 40 countries; seen by over 50 million people worldwide) as well as the music for Aaron Sorkin’s Broadway play The Farnsworth Invention. His song “Evil Like Me,” from Disney’s Descendants, has been viewed over 100 million times on YouTube and earned Mr. Lippa a gold record. Other musicals include the Drama Desk award-winning musical The Wild Party (book/music/lyrics); A Little Princess (music); john & jen (music/book); Asphalt Beach (music and lyrics); and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (additional music/lyrics and arrangements); The Man In The Ceiling (music and lyrics). Other concert works include I Am Anne Hutchinson; Unbreakable.  He is currently at work on multiple stage and film projects. Accolades include Tony, Grammy, and Emmy nominations, the Gilman/Gonzalez-Falla Theater Foundation Award, ASCAP’s Richard Rodgers/New Horizons Award, The Drama Desk and The Outer Critics Circle Award. Kevin Hager

Vice President

Kevin Hager is the director of development and communications for the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD), where he oversees all fundraising, communications, and online strategy and engagement.

While at NCLD, Kevin has led successful efforts to significantly increase fundraising for the organization while at the same time diversifying funding streams and increasing unrestricted revenue. Working with several of the top website, social media, PR, and strategic planning experts in the country, he led the process of creating a comprehensive, forward-thinking plan to scale the organization’s brand and more effectively engage key audiences. This resulted in the creation of a new, fully-funded, online strategy and engagement department overseen by Kevin.

Prior to his work at NCLD, Kevin managed the creation of the Center for Service Learning at the University of Kansas. He then moved into political campaigns, serving as the press secretary for a DCCC “Top 10 Race” and ultimately as campaign manager for a large municipal campaign before moving to New York to serve as the development director of DoSomething.org. Kevin also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Dramatists Guild Fund.

Susan Laubach

Treasurer

Susan Laubach is the author of The Whole Kitt & Caboodle: A Painless Journey to Investment Enlightenment, called the best basic book on investing available by the National Association of Investment Clubs. Before writing the book, she worked from 1978 to 1992 in one of the country’s premier brokerage houses, Alex Brown & Sons, where she rose to become one of the firm’s consistently outstanding revenue earners.

Prior to her career in investing, Laubach worked in theatre. During this time, she wrote nine plays for young people that have been produced professionally. She is also the author of four children’s books, and holds a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Since returning to New York in 2007, Susan has written and performed eight one-woman shows and 2 two-character plays at off-off Broadway venues and festivals.

Michael Gordon

Michael Gordon is a Litigation Partner at Baker & Hostetler LLP. Michael has general experience in virtually all types of business disputes, including contract; partnership and corporate shareholder disputes; fraudulent conveyance and clawback litigation; commercial real estate disputes; entertainment, publishing and intellectual property disputes; insurance coverage disputes; and matters involving alleged breaches of fiduciary duty and common law fraud. In addition, he regularly provides strategic counseling to his clients, assisting them in devising creative solutions either to avoid litigation or to facilitate the settlement of protracted lawsuits. Michael also sits on the Mediation Panel for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.  When not practicing law, Michael is an ardent theater-goer, and supporter of numerous not-for-profit theater companies in New York City. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors of Housing Works Thrift Shops, Inc., its parent company, Housing Works, Inc. and Marjorie’s Fund, the mission of which is to assist individuals with type 1 diabetes in resource-poor settings to not only survive, but to thrive.

Gretchen Cryer

President Emeritus

Gretchen Cryer is most well-known for writing the book and lyrics and starring in I’m Getting My Act Together and Taking It On the Road (with music by Nancy Ford) which won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Musical and a Grammy nomination for the album Gretchen has written numerous other shows with Nancy Ford – Now Is the Time for All Good Men (off-Broadway), The Last Sweet Days of Isaac, (Obie Award – Best Musical, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award) Shelter (Broadway – Golden Theater), Hang On to the Good Times (Manhattan Theater Club), The Fabulous Party (Williamstown Theater Festival), The American Girls Revue – (American Girl Place – Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles), and Circle of Friends – (American Girl Place – Chicago and New York) and Anne of Green Gables (Theatreworks, Lortel Theater.) Cryer and Ford have just finished a new show – Still Getting My Act Together.

C. Graham Berwind, III

C. Graham Berwind, III is the chairman and co-founder of Creative Partners Productions – a Tony Award winning, values-driven production company that furthers the art of storytelling and nurtures the artists behind it. Graham is a member of the Advisory Board of the Berwind Corporation, a fifth-generation family-owned investment management company. In 2017, he and his siblings established Spring Point Partners LLC, a social impact organization that invests in transformational leaders, networks, and solutions powering community-driven change. For Graham, this takes place notably through support for equity in the performing arts, primarily in theater and opera. In addition to Dramatists Guild Foundation, his arts support extends to his service as Vice President and Chair of the Executive Committee of the Metropolitan Opera, as well as being on the boards of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and American Modern Opera Company.

Jocelyn Bioh

Jocelyn Bioh is an award-winning, Tony Award-nominated Ghanaian-American writer/performer from New York City. Her written works for theatre include Jaja’s African Hair Braiding (MTC) which premiered on Broadway in 2023 and was nominated for five Tony Awards including Best Play; Merry Wives (Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park, PBS Great Performances) which won the 2022 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Adaptation; Nollywood Dreams (MCC Theater); and the multi-award winning School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play which was originally produced at MCC Theater in 2017/2018 and has gone on to have over 70 regional productions and premiered in the UK in 2023. Jocelyn was a 2017 Tow Playwriting Fellow and has won several playwriting awards, including being awarded the Dramatists Guild’s Hull-Warriner Prize (2018 and 2024,) Steinberg Playwright Award, Lortel Award, Drama Desk Award, and she was the winner of the 2024 Horton Foote Prize. Jocelyn has also written for TV on “Russian Doll,” Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It” (Netflix), “Tiny Beautiful Things“ (Hulu), and the Star Wars series “The Acolyte” (Disney+) and is writing the live action film adaption of the hit Broadway musical Once On This Island for Disney. 

Audrey Choi

Audrey Choi is a multi-sector leader focused on sustainability and opportunity, with a career spanning business, government, journalism and philanthropy.

Audrey was the first Chief Sustainability Officer on Wall Street, pioneering Morgan Stanley’s sustainable investing business and leading the enterprise-wide commitment to sustainability. Choi also founded Morgan Stanley’s Community Development Finance Group, investing more than $20 billion in low-income communities. Her TED talk on “How to Make a Profit While Making a Difference” has been viewed nearly 2 million times. Choi was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Management Committee and also served as the Firm’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Previously, Audrey served in key policy-making roles in the Clinton Administration, including as Janet Yellen’s Chief of Staff at the Council of Economic Advisers and Vice President Al Gore’s Domestic Policy Advisor. Prior to her government service, Choi was a bureau chief and foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, covering the economic and social upheavals in the aftermath of German reunification.

Audrey has served as a long-time board member of leading nonprofits, including StoryCorps, New York Cares, the Wildlife Conservation Society, the U.S. Impact Investing Alliance, and the Local Initiatives Support Corporation.

Choi is the Chair of The Generation Foundation and a partner of Generation Investment Management. She also serves as a Board Member of 3M Company; a Trustee of the Kresge Foundation–working to expand equity and opportunities in America’s cities; and a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, leading work on cross-sector innovation.

Choi is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. She was a White House Fellow, a Fulbright Scholar and a David Rockefeller Fellow. A first-generation Korean-American, she is fluent in French and German.

Elizabeth Dewberry

Elizabeth Dewberry co-produced ANASTASIA on Broadway and will be co-producing the USA tour.  She is a lyricist at the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Writing Workshop.  She is the author of four novels: HIS LOVELY WIFE (Harcourt), SACRAMENT OF LIES (Putnam), BREAK THE HEART OF ME (Doubleday), and MANY THINGS HAVE HAPPENED SINCE HE DIED (Doubleday).  Her full-length play FLESH AND BLOOD premiered at the Humana Festival of New American Plays, was published by Dramatists Play Service, and has been performed in various regional theaters.  Her full-length play FOUR JOANS AND A FIRE-EATER premiered at Swine Palace and has been performed regionally.  Several of her one-acts and short plays have also been produced around the US and published in various anthologies.  Her works have been translated into French, Dutch, and Czech.  She holds a PhD in American Literature from Emory University and has taught creative writing and American literature at Ohio State and Florida State Universities.

Louise Evins

Louise Evins is President and CEO of Evins Communications, Ltd. She directs the firm’s strategy, marketing and development, as well as manages their operations and finance. EVINS has become the leading branding, marketing, communications, and public relations firm in the luxury and prestige sectors, with expertise in developing integrated multi-platform programs for niche, icon and legacy brands. Prior to EVINS, she was Sr. VP and GMM of Henri Bendel. Additionally, she led a leveraged buyout as President/COO of Joshua Slocum, and was a Sr. VP at Lord & Taylor. Ms. Evins is on the board of The Fashion Group International, The Dramatist Guild Fund, LIM College Advisory Board, and  the Forbes Executive Women’s Committee.. She received her B.A. degree from Boston University.
