Gabriel Jason Dean’s plays include In Bloom (Laurents Hatcher Award Finalist, Kennedy Center’s Paula Vogel Prize, Princess Grace Award Runner-Up); The Transition of Doodle Pequeño , (AATE Distinguished Play Award, NETC Aurand Harris Award); Qualities of Starlight (Essential Theatre New Play Prize, B. Iden Payne Award). He is the recipient of the Hodder Fellow at Princeton University, James A. Michener Playwriting Fellowship, Dramatist’s Guild Fellowship and Sallie B. Goodman / McCarter Theatre Fellowship. He is currently a Core Writer at The Playwrights’ Center and a Usual Suspect at New York Theatre Workshop.
