ARON ACCURSO (Composer/Music Director/sometimes Lyricist) Original shows include: THE DOGS OF PRIPYAT, with DG Fellow, Jill Abramovitz and Leah Napolin (NAMT, Jerry Bock Award, Weston Award, Festival of New Artists at Goodspeed); a comedy with puppets about immigration, SEEING RED, with Joey Mazzarino (TRU); a mental health musical, with Rachel Griffin (DG Fellow and his wife), WE HAVE APPLES, (Theatre Now NY); and STREGA NONA (Atlantic for kids, national tour). BMI Workshop (Harrington Award), Dramatist Guild Fellow, Johnny Mercer colony. Choral commissions include University of Michigan, Colorado Children’s Chorale (with DG Fellow Adam Overett), Tennessee All-State Choir. Associate Music Director for ALADDIN (Broadway). Incidental Arranger/Music Director for UP HERE, by Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (La Jolla) and CALVIN BERGER by Barry Wyner. Other Broadway: SISTER ACT, NICE WORK…, THE LITTLE MERMAID, and BILLY ELLIOT. During the pandemic Aron and his wife started a YouTube channel, SONGS FOR LITTLES, which now has over 18 million views, so now he is an amateur puppeteer as well. He loves to sing and spent most of college singing in his a cappella group or in choir.
