ELLAROSE CHARY is an award-winning New York based writer and is thrilled to be a 2015-16 Dramatists Guild Fellow. She is currently working on COTTON CANDY AND COCAINE (Ars Nova Uncharted), PATRIETTES (The Tank’s TV Writing Program), and a new investigative piece in The Civilians R & D Group. Her other projects include the Malaysian musical MARRYING ME (BOH Cameronian Arts Award Winner), SIDNEY D. CROSIER: AN UNFINISHED PORTRAIT (Hayswood Theater), THE DAGUERREOTYPE (Prospect Theater), LEFT TO OUR OWN DEVICES (Ronald M. Ruble New Play Finalist), ENDLESS SUMMER (NYFA Estuary), and a commission about Indiana’s Bicentennial. She has contributed material to a variety of feminist and politically engaged projects, including BE THE DEATH OF ME and OCCUPY YOUR MIND (The Civilians), WE ARE THEATRE! (Cherry Lane Theatre), BY THE NUMBERS (Prospect Theater) and THE BIRDS AND THE BEES: UNABRIDGED (Honest Accomplice Theater). She is a founding member of Bastard Playground, in residence at the Drama League. Ben Green is a composer, arranger, and pianist for musical theater. He has written the scores to Neurosis (Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, SALT Award for Best New Musical), God Loves My People Best (Sage Theater, Times Square), the short opera The Sasquatch of Prospect Park, and various productions of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals. Off-Broadway credits include Heathers: The Musical (arrangements and orchestrations) and Application Pending (original music). Orchestrations include Sarah, Plain and Tall (Dallas Theater Center) and Life of the Party (LaGuardia Arts). Ben is a frequent guest conductor of the Harvard Pops Orchestra and is a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Workshop.
Jerome A. Parker is from New York City – the Bronx. His work has been developed through readings and productions at the Public Theater, the Old Vic, the Cherry Lane, Classical Theatre of Harlem, the National Black Theater, BAAD!, Company of Angels, Freedom Train Productions, Celebration Theater, and the Los Angeles Theater Center amongst others. Most recently he was commissioned by Intiman Theatre to create an original play for their audiences.
