The Dramatists Guild Fund’s Traveling Masters Program to feature Adam Szymkowicz at Texas State University Department of Theatre and Dance on September 22 thru September 24
Playwright Adam Szymkowicz (Deflowering Waldo, Clown Bar) and blogger of “I Interview Playwrights” leads public workshops and a post reading talk-back of his new play Alcott as part of the Dramatists Guild Fund’s Traveling Masters Program at the Texas State University Department of Theatre and Dance on September 23 and 24.
The Traveling Masters Program is a national outreach program that sends prominent dramatists into communities across the country for writing workshops, master classes, talkbacks, and other public events. In partnership with leading regional theaters and universities, the Dramatists Guild Fund creates local programming that gives students, theater professionals, and the public first-hand experience with renowned artists.
In addition to the public events on Sept. 23 and 24, students, faculty, and the local arts community are invited into the rehearsal process of Alcott, which was commissioned by Texas State University Department of Theatre and Dance- Harrison/Bowman New Works Commission and will be developed at Texas State.
All rehearsals and events are free and open to the public, thanks, in part, to DGF supporters across the country and Delta, the Official Presenting Sponsor of the Dramatists Guild Fund’s Traveling Masters Program, as well as help from our local partners,
